Little M goes to doc @ 1.5mo

As my parents, we must always be reminded to be fit and healthy at all times. But sometimes, we just fail to do so. Recently I caught a mild cold and started having flu, it was nothing serious. I didn't go to the doctor nor had taken any medication, just the usual vitamin C to increase my immune. However, just as luck has had it, my little boy caught the bug. He started with nose block on Monday.. then gotten worse, coughing (probably due to throat itchiness) and having running nose by Wed with more cough + phlegm. It took me almost an hour for each milk feed.

Later that evening, we brought him to see the pediatrician. We have been bringing my gal to Dr Florence (Bdr Puteri, Puchong) for awhile now. I think she is good in general. She also has a lot of patience and takes her time to examine your baby or toddler. This round we brought lil M and my gal there as well. Given that lil M is just over 6 weeks old, she only prescribed Sterimar Seawater Microdiffusion (baby Nasal hygiene) for block nose and Iliadin - Decongestant Nasal Drops to dry up the mucus. No medication was given for the cough or phlegm. Of course, babies need to build up their own immune to fight the bug as well, and giving them more mummy's milk will definitely help in the process. Dr Florence also prescribed Paracetamol-250 just in case fever develops.

Once home, we put in the Iliadin drops and subsequently sprayed the seawater solution before lil M slept that night. The very next day, we had also given him twice drops and twice spray. Today, he's so much better and been sleeping so well. No more choking while drinking milk and seems to be recovering well. I hadn't given lil M any medicine today so far.

PTL for quick healing!

Myra also had her Hep A injection at the clinic on her right arm. RM110/dose. Requires 2 doses 6 mo apart.

Resolution Tweet for 2013!

Towards to year end of every year, my hubby and I would take time off to reflect and write our New Year's resolutions. Usually we would type it out in our computer and print a copy and have this paste somewhere in our bedroom to "remind" us. This year, though, I resolve to do something different. I downloaded an app "Resolution Tweet" on my iPhone. It's a free app. :)

I think this quite cool actually, you can sign in with facebook or your email account. You may update different resolutions in different area of focus, ie relationship, health, family, finance, spiritual, fitness etc. You may also allow your friend to follow up so they may suggest a tip or help you update an activity. You can also follow your friend and other people's resolutions to see how well they have done. I think it's really a good idea if you want some sort of help & support from your family or friend to help you achieve your resolutions for the year. Many a times, we write our resolutions and forget about it...

Still trying out this app but again, I find it pretty cool and easy to use :)
